The
first ride out is this Sunday 9th March to the Wicklow
Mountains and as usual everyone is welcome to join us.
We followed a similar route last year and had a most
enjoyable day.
The first part of the route is to Laragh and is shown
in the table below. We need to be in at the Wicklow
Heather Restaurant for 11.00 am so we will leave Sprucefield
at 8.00am.Those who find it more convenient to meet
the main group in Newry should be at McDonalds for 08.20am
If the weather is Ok, Dave Rowledge will have planned
a route around Wicklow area that will bring those who
want to do this back to the garage at Holywood. Those
who do not want to do this can go down the road to Anne's
Cafe at Laragh where other bikers hang out and then
ride back over the pass to Holywood to meet the others.
Once again, if weather good, we will return up through
the country via the Slane Road to, Ardee, Castleblaney,
etc.
Chris Rix and Dave Rowledge have agreed to plan the
route / food requirements. We need to have a clear ideas
of numbers to inform the restaurant by Friday so can
those going please reply to Paul Harkness either to
